General Inquiries
How do I find the nearest ATM that I can use at no charge?

You can use your Bay Gulf VISA Check Card at any Bay Gulf Credit Union ATM location at no cost.  You may also use your card at no charge at any ATM displaying the CUHere logo, and there are hundreds of these in the Tampa Bay area.

How much does it cost for me to use PC Acce$$ (online money manager)?

PC Acce$$ is offered free to members of Bay Gulf Credit Union.

Why are savings accounts called "shares" and checking accounts called "share drafts"?

Each credit union member is an owner of the institution. As such, you actually own "shares" in the credit union, rather than having deposits in the credit union. These shares signify ownership. The funds you put into your credit union account are actually your shares of the credit union. Share savings accounts are identical to savings accounts at banks or savings and loans. In addition, "share draft" accounts at a credit union are the same product as checking accounts at a bank.

Why don't you have Certificates of Deposit?

We do!  We just have to refer to them as "share certificates" instead of CDs. Share certificates at a credit union are the same as Certificates of Deposit at a bank or savings and loan.
